Chain Reaction – Whenever you hit a winning combination, the winning symbols are removed and replaced with new ones that cascade from the top of the reels. This feature keeps repeating until there are no more wins on the reels.
Mystery Symbols – Mystery symbols show up as amplifiers on the reels. They land in stacks and at the end of a round, they reveal a set of identical pay symbols which increase your chances of putting together a win.
Pick Me – Landing three or more LP record symbols activates the slot’s pick me feature. Once you activate it, you can pick one of three album covers to reveal your winning prize.
High Voltage – This feature can be randomly activated on any given spin. It removes all of the low-paying symbols from the reels, boosting your chances of getting bigger wins in the process.
Free Spins – The free spins bonus is triggered by landing Flying V guitar scatter symbols. Hitting four, five or six of them gives you 12, 17 or 22 free spins respectively. The biggest change in gameplay here is the added win multiplier, which increases by one every time you get a chain reaction win. The multiplier remains active for the duration of the bonus rounds and has no maximum cap restriction, so it can reach incredible heights. Mystery symbols become sticky during free spins and the high voltage function is active throughout. You can even add more free spins to your tally by landing another three or four scatter symbols, which add five or ten bonus rounds, respectively.
Although it delivered a few great wins now and again, Monsters of Rock Megaways ultimately failed to make a lasting impression.
The game comes with a lot of familiar mechanics and although some of these might have topped the charts back when the slot was released, they’ve become quite commonplace today. Win potential is satisfying though and you can still walk away with some significant wins.
The medium level of volatility gave us a rather constant stream of wins, and the consecutive chain reaction wins kept the streak running for a while longer. Our biggest win finally came through during the free spins bonus, where we accumulated a win multiplier of 25x and took away a whopping ₹1,500,000.
Ultimately, Monsters of Rock feels like an old record that you like to bring out every now and again. It gets the job done, even if there’s an all too familiar ring to it.
Gonzo’s Quest Megaways – NetEnt’s popular game gets a Megaways facelift with 117,649 paylines, high volatility and an RTP of 98%. We’re most impressed by the incredible maximum win potential of up to 21,000x, which helped us bag our biggest win of ₹2,500,000.
Wheel of Fortune Megaways – If you’re looking for one of the most rewarding Megaways games out there, be sure to play IGT’s Wheel of Fortune Megaways. It has up to 1 million paylines and can award a maximum win of 80,150x your stake. We never got near that figure, but bagged a huge ₹4,000,000 win, nonetheless.
