We love clean game interfaces that stick to the point while adding subtle features that make each round all the more worth playing. Blackjack Neo strikes a great balance, with simple features that make playing three hands at the same time an easy affair. It’s a satisfying set of mechanics and we really couldn’t complain about any of it.
Clear – Perhaps the most basic feature in the game, the clear function removes all bets from the reels. If like us you enjoy changing things up and hitting the maximum bet cap from time to time, you’ll be looking for the clear button to reset and place a fresh new set of wagers on the table.
Deal – Once you’ve placed bets on the hands you’d like to activate, hit the deal button to get dealt your initial two cards. Any Blackjacks are immediately rewarded and if you have anything below 21, you can choose to double, hit or stand. The game underlines the option it thinks will suit your hand best, but this is more of a guideline. There were several times where the game suggested we stand but we decided to hit instead and were rewarded for it. So, while the guidelines are helpful to newcomers and beginners, more experienced players are more likely to ignore these suggestions.
Double Bet – Before hitting the deal button, you can opt for the double bet function which doubles all of your bets across the table. There is a cap of ₹30,000 on each hand, so you can’t double wagers that push beyond this limit.
Split – Whenever you get two identical cards in a hand, you can choose to split them. This doubles your odds of landing a winning hand, and we always split cards whenever we could. It gave us some of the biggest wins in the game, including a massive ₹350,000 that we landed from two split and one whole hand.
Double – If you choose to double on your hand, the wager on it is double and a facedown card is added to it. After the dealer’s hand is revealed, your new card is also flipped around and your wins are calculated according to the new total in your hand. We took our chances with this from time to time, especially when we had hands around the 10-13 value mark.
Stand – If you’re happy with where your hand’s value stands (ideally as close to 21 as possible), hit the stand button. The game also automatically stands on initial Blackjacks or any hand that hits 21.
Relax Gaming gets it right with Blackjack Neo. Playing with one, two or all three hands is incredibly easy and the game intuitively shows you all of your available options in every round. Apart from its fantastic interface and great mechanics, Blackjack Neo also comes with a great maximum win which caps at 500x on every bet you place.
We can easily recommend Blackjack Neo to both beginners and veteran players, so anyone can just jump in and start chasing those Blackjacks.
If you want even bigger payouts, check out Play’n GO’s European Blackjack MH. We made use of the game’s three-hand play and insurance bets which pushed close to the maximum win potential of 10,000x.
Felt Gaming gives us an alternative take on the classic table game with Buster Blackjack. We once again got to experience three-hand play and boosted our payouts with buster bets, where you wager on the number of cards that a dealer will draw before busting out. The maximum win is also increased to 2,000x your bet.
