SWAT Wild – Whenever these symbols pop up on the first reel, they trigger respins, during which they move one position at a time towards the right until they’re off the grid. If they happen to collide with a Terrorist Wild during the respin phase, they trigger SWAT free spins.
Terrorist Wild – These wilds are the SWAT team’s adversaries. They behave in the same way but pop up on the fifth reel, trigger respins and move to the left instead. If the Terrorist Wild collides with a SWAT wild and covers it, it triggers Terrorist free spins.
Free Spins – Your free spins bonus will depend on the wild symbol that triggers it. If a SWAT wild triggers it, then you get three free spins. After every spin, five random symbols are replaced with hostage symbols. On the other hand, activating free spins with Terrorist wilds gives you ten bonus rounds. During these rounds, the bomb wild can appear anywhere on the reels, applying a 5x multiplier to any wins it forms part of.
Random Events – Ace Round throws a few wild cards your way too with random events. A fire grenade burns out all of the symbols on the lowest row, with symbols cascading down and a new row appearing at the top of the reels. If you don’t get a winning combination, the feature retriggers. The smoke grenade replaces all symbols with a new set of random symbols. The HE (highly explosive) grenade destroys six to nine symbols and replaces them with random symbols.
Evoplay has managed to capture the high stakes of competitive online shooters like Counter-Strike with Ace Round. We loved the variety that the special features brought to the table and the colliding symbols added a whole new layer to the game.
Our biggest gripe here is the somewhat limited win potential. At just 100x, the maximum win cap is pretty low, although we did manage to hit a couple of great wins, including a big win of ₹100,000, but it’s a far cry from the figures we like to see on our favourite slots.
