Switch Studios doesn’t beat around the bush, giving us exactly what it promises in the game’s title. Classic Blackjack with Ten-20 sticks to the traditional formula with clear and customisable functions that you can tweak however you like.
In our case, we fired up the turbo mode for quicker rounds, switched on the rebet function and removed the warning pop-ups. It gave us a cleaner, faster and smoother experience. Our only complaint would be the actual bet selection itself, which worked well on mobile, but felt slow and clunky when playing on desktop. It’s not a dealbreaker at all, but it did slow down our pace.
Deal – After placing your wagers, you just hit the deal button to play. You then choose to hit or stand based on the cards you’re dealt. We found it easy to follow, with functions like split and double, popping up whenever they were available.
Double Down – If you get a 9, 10 or 11 on your hand, you can choose to double down. This essentially adds another card and doubles your wager, but you cannot double after a split. We used it a few times during our playthrough and got mixed results, as expected, although it did bag us a couple of wins along the way.
Split – You can split a hand with two cards of the same value. You essentially get two hands to play with, which increases your chances of success. We won a few rounds with split hands and although they were arguably more rewarding than regular wins, they still didn’t come close to the wins we got through Ten-20 bets.
Ten-20 Bet – This is the game’s defining feature. Ten-20 bets can be placed at the start of any round and give you the highest payouts. If your initial hand has a value of 20 or 10 or is made up of two 5 cards, you win 3x, 10x or 22x your bet respectively. They’re all sizable payouts and we managed to land quite a few during our playthrough. We never got a pair of 5s, but we did land a straight 10, which gave us our biggest in-game win of ₹50,000. Although they’re quite rewarding, these bets are very risky, and the odds of actually landing a win are very slim. We decided to go for a lower bet for them, something we could cover with our main bets in the long run.
We had a great time playing Classic Blackjack with Ten-20. It’s a solid classic Blackjack title with customisable functions and clear features that you can easily follow. The Ten-20 bet is an added plus, and although it is much riskier than your regular bets, it can lead to some big rewards.
We can easily recommend this to both beginners and experienced players alike, with great features, fantastic visuals and plenty of win potential.
Pragmatic Play’s One European Blackjack is a live version of the game and it comes with all kinds of advanced features. You play against real players and a real dealer, using features like game statistics and side bets to boost your winnings in the hopes of reaching the 2,000x maximum win. It’s the sort of game we enjoy revisiting now and again, having landed a huge ₹750,000 win during one of our playthroughs.
Relax Gaming’s European Blackjack sticks to a more simple set of features. The visuals are rougher than Classic Blackjack with Ten-20s, but the game makes up for it with a handful of great mechanics, including insurance bets, three multi-hand play, double-down options, and a splitting function. You even get an improved maximum win at 6,000x your stake.
