The festival of light always calls for a few rounds of Teen Patti, and TopSpin has graciously given us a themed version of their previous 3 Cards Teen Patti game. It boasts all of the visual quality that the provider is known for, immersing you further in the festive spirit.

If it isn’t broken, don’t fix it. Well, TopSpin certainly seems to think so. Other than increasing the bet levels, the provider hasn’t made any changes from the original 3 Cards Teen Patti game. You still get the same design and setup, although this time it’s adequately fitted in all kinds of Diwali decorations.
The paytable is also included on the main screen, so you can keep track of all your wins. The base game features work like a charm, but the bonus trail really manages to push the game further and even gave us our biggest in-game win.
Standard Wins – Teen Patti is ultimately a poker variation and you’ll need to land specific card combinations to win the game’s prizes. Landing a pair, colour, sequence, pure sequence or trail will award you with 2x, 4x, 6x, 20x or 40x your stake, respectively. We landed quite a few great wins along the way, and although we never hit a trail, we still managed to get a couple of sequence combinations along the way. But our biggest win came from the bonus trail feature itself.
Bonus Trail – Building on the base game features, the bonus trail rewards you for landing consecutive wins. There are five stages to hit, with the final three awarding win multipliers based on your stake. Stages three, four and five, award 5x, 10x and 60x your stake, respectively. You progress through the trail automatically and if you hit level five, the reward is paid out immediately. If you hit a losing round along the way, you’re paid the reward associated with the level that you managed. We never made it to the very top. But we did make it to the fourth tier a couple of times, bagging a win of ₹120,000 every time we did so.
TopSpin hasn’t made many changes from the original game, so fans of the previous one will feel right at home. The game simply comes with a higher bet level which is bumped up to ₹15,000 over the original’s ₹10,000.
We wish TopSpin would have added a little more incentive here, as we would have appreciated some innovative features to truly celebrate Diwali in style. But despite its lack of original features, 3 Cards Diwali Special still manages to impress and we recommend it to all players who want to add some festive spirit to their games.
mPlay’s Teen Patti Champion does away with the bonus trail feature and reduces its RTP to 94.89%. Despite its lack of bonus features, Teen Patti Champion improves on 3 Cards Diwali Special’s maximum win, allowing you to win up to 1,305x of your stake. We never really hit the maximum win, but still walked away with a ₹300,000 win.
