Genii has gone for a simpler set of video slot features with 7 Chakras. It’s quite a bare game by modern standards, with the action relying solely on wild and scatter symbols. But despite the rather minimal set of mechanics, it still manages to deliver some exciting moments, especially through the double wild multipliers.
Wilds – Arguably the strongest of 7 Chakras’ features, the wild symbol lands as a chunky 2×1 symbol. It’s most effective when landing in full view, giving it even more opportunity to replace missing pay symbols and form meaningful wins. Speaking of meaningful wins, the wild symbol doubles the value of any wins it forms part of. We managed to land two and even three wilds in one round at times, which combined all the wild symbol’s multiplier values and gave us some of the biggest wins in the game.
Scatters – These valueless symbols are your way into the slot’s free spins. Landing 2, 4 or 5 awards you a minimum of 1, 3 or 5 free spins respectively. But before you jump into the bonus rounds, you’re introduced to the free spins ascension mechanic that can significantly boost your free spins experience.
Free Spins – The bonus round starts with the free spins ascension mechanic. It asks you to randomly pick one of the coloured gems from a lotus, to reveal a random number of free spins and a win multiplier. Although we can see the potential for 7 Chakras to be a great video slot, the experience is unfortunately let down by a limited set of special features. Sure, the first couple of hundred rounds offer some excitement and engagement, but after a while, the slot began to feel incredibly tedious. To make matters worse, maximum win potential isn’t great either with the highest prize capped at 1,653x your stake.
So, all in all, despite 7 Chakras thematically focusing on energy points within our bodies, it ultimately results in a tired attempt that we wouldn’t recommend to either beginners or experienced players.
